What is Talent Development?
At Gurumu Taekwondo, we are known for identifying students who have a keen interest in the sporting (sparring) aspect of taekwondo. Once identified, we place them in a special Talent Development Programme where they develop their technical ability, tactical awareness and ring craft to an elite level. This is where they transition from an amateur athlete to a semi-professional athlete. As a result of our training approach, we have been a feeder club into the GB Taekwondo National Talent Development Programme for many years, and have had students go on to represent Great Britain at major championships.
